Fair Trade

St Francis and St Mary’s have taken the decision to be Fairtrade Churches, accredited by the Fairtrade Foundation. This means that we are committed to serving Fairtrade tea, coffee and sugar at church events and after services, and we try to use other Fairtrade goods where available.

There is also a regular Traidcraft stall run by Claire Bull which sells an amazing range of fairtrade food products and some craft items.  This can usually be found at St Francis’ on the first Saturday of the month at the Saturday Coffee Morning (10.30 to 11.30 a.m. in the Church) and after the 10.30 a.m. service on the first Sunday of the month. The stall is also available at St Mary’s Church after the main morning service except on the first Sunday of each month.

Claire is also happy to order craft items and to lend a copy of the mail-order catalogue to those interested in browsing further, for example for birthday or Christmas presents. Ordering in this way can reduce the usual costs of postage and packing.  Contact Claire Bull on 020 289 7576

Remember, every purchase of Fairtrade goods makes a real difference to the lives of producing farmers and craftsmen, their families and their communities.
